I hired an attorney for my divorce and she had personal problems so she refunded my money I then retained another attorney my divorce is final but not happy with the results. I never got to review the final draft of divorce but needless to say it got signed by the judge with stuff we didn't agree on. However now because my attorney didn't have the military retirement money percentage in the divorce degree we have to have it signed by judge. I cant get my attorney to answer me or any of my questions.
What should I do? Frustrated with the mess.
Quick reply - divorce and military retirement:
Under the old rule, the divorce court could award your spouse 50% of your pension, and base the dollar amount your spouse will receive, not on your current rank, but on the rank you will be at retirement. If your case goes to trial and the judge issues a judgment, the judgment is confirmed when the decree is signed and dated by the judge and court clerk.
