If you're going through a divorce in California and it hasn't been finalized yet, there are a few things you can do if you want to respond to your spouse's divorce papers. First, if you've been threatened with texts or other messages, you can file for a restraining order. This will help protect you from your spouse and give you some legal breathing room. Second, if there are incorrect facts on your divorce papers, you can file a notice of correction with the court. This will let the court know that there are some inaccuracies that need to be fixed. Finally, if you want to change your divorce to a legal separation, you can file a petition with the court (divorce forms). This will allow you to remain married but have some legal protections in place.
