I am writing because I am having a bad experience with my moving company. I moved from CA to MD and used Rapid Van Lines. They picked up my stuff on Feb 23rd and said (by word of mouth) that it would take no longer than 21 business days. The 21 business days passed and I read the contract and the contract said 30 business days so I waited. The 30th business day passed and they kept using the excuse that they could not find a driver that was coming to my area. Finally on April 19th they said they got a driver and it would take 5-7 days. on Saturday April 24th I got a call from a "driver" that the stuff would be delivered the next day but they only accept cash. Then Sunday morning the driver called me and said his truck broke down and it would be a while to deliver the stuff because they had to order a part. Today, Monday 26th, I got a call from the driver saying they saw my parking lot (I sent them a video of it) and a semi truck would not fit. I saw a semi truck unloading stuff to one of my neighbors and told him it will fit. The driver is disagreeing and wants to charge me an extra $850 fee on top of the already crazy price they gave me (Over $1000 of what the original estimate was). Is there anything I can do, I am very upset with this company that seems like they just want to get every dollar out of me.
