Hello,
A previous tenant owes back rent of $9800 plus about $3,000 in damages. There is a lease. He is self-employed, and he does not own a home himself. He owns a multi-family home in Waterbury in an LLC. He is the only member of the LLC. The home needs work. This previous tenant's plan is to renovate the home and rent it out, but it is boarded up now. The value is approx. $40,000, enough to cover what he owes me.
I doubt he has kept separate banking to pay the LLC's expenses.
Is there much of a chance I can get my money back by going after this home owned by the LLC?
Thank you
