Marriage of 19-20 years. Husband began process. Wife is my daughter. They are in a collaborative agreement and she has terrible representation. Husband and his attorney are driving the whole process. My daughter is basically having to defend herself on her own. Her attorney is not communicating with her at all. They built new home in 2017...approx. value $770,000. Husbands family gave them the land. House will never be able to be sold (per his family) Husband will keep the home. My daughter is living in a townhome. They have twin girls age 12. Husband makes approx. $180,000/year. My daughter makes approx. $60,000/year currently. She is starting new job in a month. New income for her will be approx. $75,000/year. My daughter pays for their children's health coverage. Husband and his attorney are preparing a draft of agreement. Their Initial proposals are: $900.00/month child support till age 18. $1100.00/month spousal support till children are 18. Half of equity in home: Approx. $65,000. Husbands' family is pretty wealthy. He will soon be receiving $80,000 along with his siblings as gifts from their parents. Basically he will not have to worry about his financial future because his parents will never allow him to struggle. They will always be there to bail him out of any financial issues. I am very worried about my daughters health. She is so stressed and full of anxiety. She also has heart problems as a result of her pregnancy with the twins born in 2010. She was in emergency and ICU after the birth and continues to be regularly checked by heart doctors..
