My husband has been falsely accused of taking indecent liberties with a child. we have evidence to prove that he is innocent. These allegations were brought on by two children who recently had a sleepover at my home with my two children and this is the first time those two children have ever stayed over at my home. both weekends went great there was nothing out of the ordinary . the two children have a history of making false allegations of sexual abuse in the past and their mother has a history of coaching her children into making false allegations. and now those two children have gotten my autistic 11 year old daughter and my 8 year old daughter to go along with their story. so my husband is in jail and my kids are in protective custody with cps. public defender says their are so many holes in this case and a lot of things dont add up. my childrens therapist can testify that never in the 4 years that shes been seeing my children have they never made any allegations towards my husband. the two childrens mother is going around town bragging that she put her kids up to making these allegations and getting my children involved. public defender also states that the medical exams of the children should have been done 2 or three days after the alleged assault but its been over a week and no exams have been done. what do we do.
A criminal defense lawyer is a lawyer (mostly barristers) specializing in the defense of individuals and companies charged with criminal activity. Some criminal defense lawyers are privately retained, while others are employed by the various jurisdictions with criminal courts for appointment to represent indigent persons; the latter are generally called public defenders. The terminology is imprecise because each jurisdiction may have different practices with various levels of input from state and federal law or consent decrees. Some jurisdictions use a rotating system of appointments with judges appointing a private practice attorney or firm for each case. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criminal_defense_lawyer
