So I was impaled in a car accident on February 3rd the car flipped several times and had a bashed windshield and pull me out and I was charged later for driving habitually however the seat trooper said he wasn't sure whether or not I was driving or not because he did not arrive until after the crash and he asked people said they did not see anything else in the vehicle but they weren't sure either 2 months later the driver calls the public defender's office to admit and give a verbal statement saying that she was the one driving today however I don't remember much and I'm wondering if they are going to try to say that's not true because they don't know how she got out of the car if it was right now can they still hold this charge against me the passenger who was injured and charged originally?
A criminal defense lawyer is a lawyer (mostly barristers) specializing in the defense of individuals and companies charged with criminal activity. Some criminal defense lawyers are privately retained, while others are employed by the various jurisdictions with criminal courts for appointment to represent indigent persons; the latter are generally called public defenders. The terminology is imprecise because each jurisdiction may have different practices with various levels of input from state and federal law or consent decrees. Some jurisdictions use a rotating system of appointments with judges appointing a private practice attorney or firm for each case. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criminal_defense_lawyer
