Contractors bond

Location: Carthage | Law type: general contractors Answer!

I hired a contractor to repair my foundation. The contract states that I pay for all the materials, $7400 which I did up front and the labor $1180 would be due at completion. They started but did not even complete 1/3 of the work now refuses to finish. I have the emails with them saying they will no longer work on the project. I requested my money or the material back and I would pay for the labor completed at the same time and now they will not answer me. They are licenced and bonded. How do I sue them for the return of my money. Also after they did what they did they caused more damage to my home. Please I need some assistance. My husband is still in the hospital with covid and I have lost my job due to the time off I had to take to care for him.
