Can i get a public defender before i go turn myself in for revocation warrants
In 2017 i plea bargained to 72 months probation and had to counties ran concurrent on drug charges. I have stayed in good standings with rules of my probation until the evening of August 28. That evening I was attempting to seperate from the father of my two youngest children he called the police saying he had returned home from work to find children left unattended by me.I returned myself to the scene during his meeting with officer and disputed the allegations against me. He got arrested for leaving children alone. I had warrantless search waiver due to probation.I then was arrested. As of now I have 2 probation revocation warrants in counties of initial charges. I am hoping theres a way to get public defender to appear with me to turn myself in and be there for first appearance
A criminal defense lawyer is a lawyer (mostly barristers) specializing in the defense of individuals and companies charged with criminal activity. Some criminal defense lawyers are privately retained, while others are employed by the various jurisdictions with criminal courts for appointment to represent indigent persons; the latter are generally called public defenders. The terminology is imprecise because each jurisdiction may have different practices with various levels of input from state and federal law or consent decrees. Some jurisdictions use a rotating system of appointments with judges appointing a private practice attorney or firm for each case. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criminal_defense_lawyer
