I finally insisted on repairs and pest control after months of dealing with it and instead of doing any of it my landlord told me she was considering selling then less then a month later she had a buyer and gave me a 30 day notice. I live in a duplex and she moved the other tenant to the duplex she just finished fixing up. When she gave me my 30 day she told me she had slot of plans for that house but she worked full time and I more then anyone should know it had slot of problems cause I was constantly complaining. She left the 30 day notice blank for the reason for the notice and I was told it made it invalid but I want to make sure cause I haven't been here 12 months. I am supposed to be on a year lease but she forgot to bring it the first time and every other time I asked for it after that. When I asked her to email it she sent me her rental application and when I Informed her it was the wrong thing she ignored me so now that she's kicking me out and I reminded her i moved in on the understanding I was on a year lease she told me well it's not in writing. I requested the repairs in August notice was give. Sept 23 and October she wanted her rent still not doing anything I asked her to so I told her I was only giving her utilities and contacting the city so once she made the repairs she could have the rent. City came and today she sent someone to look at my heater I appreciate she's finally getting on it but I've asked her before to fixed me notice when sending someone I don't like having strangers come in when my kids are home and I'm at work.
